Law firm Venable recently announced the addition of former AOL Inc. chief counsel Charles D. Curran as a partner in its privacy and data security practice.

As partner, Curran said he will be responsible for matters involving “compliance counseling, investigative responses, legislative and regulatory advocacy and transactional due diligence.” He added that it is his hope to provide clients with “integrated advice on legal challenges” in a way actionable “within the client’s particular business context.”
