In early October, beer brewing giant Molson Coors Brewing Co. announced that it had completed a $12 billion acquisition of Chicago-based MillerCoors LLC, making Molson Coors the third-largest brewer in the world. This acquisition, which had been in the works for over a year, had a few unique challenges. For one thing, Molson Coors didn’t know the true value of the entire deal when it signed the dotted line, so to speak.

Sam Walker, global chief legal and corporate affairs officer at Molson Coors, agreed to take Corporate Counsel inside the deal.
