After three decades of working at law firms in Washington, D.C., Joel Rappoport has landed an in-house job in Hawaii.

First Hawaiian Inc., a Honolulu-based bank owned by France’s BNP Paribas SA, announced last week that it has named Rappoport its executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. He is moving to Honolulu from Washington, D.C., to assume his new role.
