The year’s end has brought a flurry of general counsel hires and new GC announcements at companies big and small. As organizations look to Jan. 1 as a sort of “reset”—both in mindset and sometimes in budget—the search for new GCs hits a boiling point by late December.
In the past month, Domino’s Pizza Inc. announced its hire of Kevin Morris as incoming GC starting Jan. 4, Milwaukee-based robotics firm and Fortune 500 company Rockwell Automation Inc. announced its hire of Rebecca House as GC—also effective a few days into 2017—and Och-Ziff Capital Management Group, one of the largest hedge funds in the world, named David Levine as chief legal officer effective Jan. 23.
