The newly formed Restaurant Law Center, a nonprofit legal advocacy group separate from but affiliated with the National Restaurant Association, is taking on some of the industry’s biggest issues such as tip pooling, joint employer relationships and new overtime laws.
General counsel with Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises Inc., Yum! Brands Inc., Golden Corral Corp., Bloomin’ Brands Inc. and Red Lobster Seafood Co. serve as the five founding board members. The board, along with an executive director, currently operate the center, which was formally established Jan. 12.
