A lawyer for four former employees of Chinese ride-hailing app company UCAR Inc. is crying foul over how the company obtained a court order barring them from working on any project based on company trade secrets.

Claude Stern of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan wrote in a court filing Thursday that UCAR’s counsel at RuyakCherian incorrectly informed U.S. District Judge Edward Davila that the defendants were properly put on notice that the company was seeking a temporary restraining order as part of a trade secret case filed on Tuesday.
