Former Hewlett-Packard general counsel Michael Holston took the stand Wednesday for his old company in its breach of contract suit against business partner Oracle.

Holston, who left Hewlett-Packard Co. in January, was part of an executive-level team that negotiated the settlement of an employment suit against former HP CEO Mark Hurd after his hire by Oracle Corp. in 2010.
