The stunning $32.1 million jury verdict steelworker Norman Pelletier and his wife won last December remains unscathed after a fierce round of post-verdict motions.

An employee of subcontractor Berlin Steel, Pelletier’s spine was broken when a two-ton girder fell on him, due to a weak, unnoticed temporary weld at a Pitney Bowes building under construction in Shelton, Conn. With over $8 million in offer-of-judgment interest, his potential award is now up to $41 million.
