Former U.S. ambassador Edward “Terry” Shumaker is leaving his post as general counsel and executive director of the National Education Association in New Hampshire for the Portland, Maine-based Bernstein Shur.
Shumaker, who is also a veteran New Hampshire labor and employment attorney, is scheduled to join Bernstein’s Manchester, N.H., office on March 1. He was U.S. ambassador to Trinidad from 1997 to 2001.
