A Connecticut environmental advocacy group is welcoming two lawyers to its legal staff, including a veteran of the state Attorney General's Office. Additionally, officials with the Connecticut Fund for the Environment (CFE) and its sister organization, Save the Sound, say they will be able to step up their legal initiatives thanks to a sizable donation.

The highest-profile addition is Jack Looney, who spent 26 years in the environmental division of the Connecticut Attorney General's Office.

“I worked with Jack for a time at the Attorney General's Office and know first-hand of his formidable experience, skill, and passion,” Roger Reynolds, legal director of CFE and Save the Sound, said in a statement. “It says something about CFE/Save the Sound that people like Jack know we are the place to go to protect the environment and make a true difference.”
