Competition for school district and college legal business continues to heat up in Connecticut with one of the state's largest law firms announcing another expansion of its education law practice.
Pullman & Comley has announced that Donald Houston and Stephen Sedor have joined the firm's labor and employment and school law practices. Both attorneys will be based in the firm's Bridgeport office. Both attorneys formerly worked with the Bridgeport firm of Durant Nichols Houston, with Houston serving as the firm's managing director.
“Both [attorneys] are highly regarded for their comprehensive labor and employment skill set and their accomplishments within the education market,” said Joshua Hawks-Ladds, chairman of Pullman & Comley's labor, employment and employee benefits department. “Their esteemed credentials will be a tremendous asset to our clients as we continue to expand our school law practice.”

The complaint, filed Sept. 30 in New York Southern District Court by the Securities and Exchange Commission, accuses the defendants of using consulting agreements, attorney opinion letters and other mechanisms to skirt regulations limiting stock sales by affiliate companies and allowing the defendants to unlawfully profit from sales of Enzolytics stock.
