Attorneys for a 54-year-old Watertown man injured after his motorcycle was struck by a pickup truck in 2015 agreed to a $1.5 million settlement Monday.
The underlying case was strengthened by body cameras worn by Naugatuck police officers who responded to the accident, according to Kimberly A.S. Sudnick, attorney for plaintiff Todd Teubner.
“The four responding police officers all gave us their body cameras, which showed the accident and my client writhing in pain on the ground and then being put in the ambulance,” said Sudnick, who is with The Haymond Law Firm in Hartford. “In this case, it really made a difference.”
