The lawyer for a 17-year-old high school senior who suffered a broken leg, concussion and collapsed lung after being struck by a car that failed to stop for a school bus has settled the case for $420,000.

Spenser Grady was seriously injured in February 2013 when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Matthew Kuhn in Bridgeport. Kuhn was accused of speeding and not stopping for the bus' stop arm when he struck Grady. A seven-page amended lawsuit was filed in April 2016.

Grady, who was headed to Platt Technical High School in Milford, underwent surgery the day of the accident to reset his leg. He underwent a second surgery a few weeks later to put a rod down the center of the bone and to put four pins in his leg, according to his attorney, Keith Murray.
