Robinson and Cole lawyers Todd R. Regan and Peter E. Strniste Jr. have accepted fellowships with the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA). Regan and Strniste are members of Robinson & Cole's Construction Group.
Regan regularly advises construction managers, trade contractors, owners, sureties and design professionals in disputes concerning project delays and inefficiencies, defective design and construction, unfair trade practices and bad faith, bond claims and mechanic's liens. He frequently represents parties in construction disputes pending in the state and federal courts of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York and has argued before the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the Connecticut Supreme Court. He also counsels clients in the negotiation of complex construction agreements, including agreements with construction managers and general contractors, agreements with owners/engineers and subcontract agreements.
Strniste dedicates his practice to construction and surety law, business litigation and the negotiation of all types of construction contracts. He counsels clients on issues surrounding all aspects of construction projects and routinely represents clients in the courts of New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Currently, he serves as president of the Connecticut Surety Association and is also editor of Robinson and Cole's Construction Law Zone blog.
