The Connecticut Bar Association's Energy Section dinner, hosted recently by the UConn Center for Energy and Environmental Law, drew a crowd of 50-plus recently to the William F. Starr Hall Reading Room at UConn Law School in Hartford.

UConn Law School students and CBA Energy Section members met for a networking cocktail reception, followed by dinner. During dinner, the section elected two new officers: former Secretary Alexander Judd was elected vice chairman and James Morrissey was voted in as secretary.

Melanie Bachman, executive director of the Connecticut Siting Council, explained the council's role in siting and litigation. She discussed the impact of severe storms on Connecticut and what the council is doing to alleviate damage. The night concluded with a question-and-answer session led by Bachman.
