Blomberg Named President Of Conn. Chapter of AAML Schoonmaker, George, Colin & Blomberg partner Jill Heitler Blomberg was recently sworn in as president of the Connecticut chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Active with the chapter since 2011, Blomberg has previously served as vice president, secretary and treasurer and has served on its managing board since 2010.
Blomberg's practice concentrates on family law. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and a fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Blomberg serves the Connecticut Superior Court as a special master in family cases at the Regional Family Trial docket in Middletown, where contested child custody cases are heard. Blomberg acts as a court-appointed attorney and guardian ad litem for children in contested custody cases and has completed all mandatory requirements for the guardian ad litem/attorney for the minor child comprehensive basic training. She is also recognized as an AAML-trained mediator.
Blomberg is a Top 25 female Connecticut Super Lawyer, and Top 50 female New England Super Lawyer. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Fordham Law School. The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers was founded in 1962 and has 33 fellows in Connecticut. Schoonmaker, George, Colin & Blomberg is located in Greenwich.
Halloran Sage Attorneys Run for Positive Message A group of colleagues from Halloran Sage joined nearly 1,000 other women on the race course at this year's Red Dress Run. The women's 5k started and finished in the Elizabeth Park Rose Garden, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities. Said partner Sue O'Donnell, “It was an awesome experience. Women in different roles throughout our firm all supported and encouraged each other in our different abilities.” O'Donnell ran as a “SoleMate,” raising money for the signature charity, Girls on the Run Greater Hartford, a positive youth development running program.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
