Former U.S. Attorney Joins Wiggin as Partner Former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Paul Tuchmann has joined Wiggin and Dana in New Haven as a litigation partner in the white-collar defense, investigations and corporate compliance practice group.
Tuchmann's practice will focus on representing and advising corporations, boards and individuals on internal investigations, regulatory compliance, criminal defense and related civil and administrative matters, as well as complex litigation.
Tuchmann served for more than a decade as an assistant U.S. attorney, co-heading the FIFA Task Force, supervising cases of fraud, corruption, racketeering and campaign finance offenses. He tried seven cases to jury verdict and argued motions and appeals before the district court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Tuchmann previously worked with Mintz Levin in Boston. He graduated from Columbia College, magna cum laude, and cum laude from Harvard Law School. He clerked for U.S. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis in the Eastern District of New York.

Wiggin and Dana's Craven Selected For DRI Lifetime Service Award Attorney Jim Craven of Wiggin and Dana will receive this year's Defense Research Institute Lifetime Community Service Award. This award honors a member of DRI whose unselfish activities in the community demonstrate outstanding commitment to public well-being.
The honor will be presented at “A Celebration of Leadership” on Saturday, Oct. 20 at the 2018 DRI Annual Meeting in San Francisco. With approximately 22,000 members, DRI is the largest international membership organization of attorneys defending the interests of business and individuals in civil litigation.
“Jim Craven's recognition by this prestigious organization is not a surprise to us, and is certainly well-deserved. It's a testament to his outstanding work, and the continuation of Wiggin and Dana's long tradition of giving back to the community,” said Paul Hughes, managing partner of Wiggin and Dana, “We are extremely proud of Jim's accomplishments and are grateful that the institute has seen fit to acknowledge them.”
Craven is in Wiggin and Dana's New Haven office but is involved in matters throughout Connecticut. His cases have involved product and medical liability and serious personal injury cases. He is a former president of the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
