Hartford-based Day Pitney has hired 10 new associates to join the firm this fall across its offices, including eight in Connecticut, one in Boston and one in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Day Pitney Welcomes 10 New Associates Hartford-based Day Pitney has hired 10 new associates to join the firm this fall across its offices, including eight in Connecticut, one in Boston and one in Parsippany, New Jersey.
“We are delighted to welcome our incoming class, which represents an accomplished group of individuals,” said Tom Goldberg, managing partner. “As our firm continues to grow, we look forward to drawing on this group's talent and experience and collaborating with them to deliver top-quality legal services to our clients.”
The 10 new associates are as follows:
Hartford
Joseph T. Nawrocki, Insurance and Reinsurance. Nawrocki most recently served as a law clerk to Judge José A. Cabranes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New Haven. Before that he was an associate with Baker & Hostetler in Washington, D.C. He received his law degree from Yale Law School; his master's degree from the University of Notre Dame; and his bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from the College of the Holy Cross.
Julia M. Sorensen, Complex Tort Litigation. Sorenson was a summer associate with Day Pitney in 2016 and most recently served as a law clerk to Justice Gregory T. D'Auria of the Connecticut Supreme Court. She received her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law and her bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Central Connecticut State University.
Stamford
Matthew B. Danzer, Complex Commercial Litigation. Danzer most recently served as a law clerk to Judge Gerard E. Lynch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York. Before that he was an associate with Williams & Connolly in Washington, D.C. He received his law degree from Columbia Law School and his bachelor's degree from Cornell University.
Nicholas M. Lombard, Complex Commercial Litigation. Lombard was a summer associate with Day Pitney in 2015. He most recently served as a law clerk to Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut in Bridgeport. Before that he served as a law clerk to Justice Dennis G. Eveleigh (ret.) of the Connecticut Supreme Court. He received his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law and his bachelor's degree from Chaminade University.
Dennis A. Massimi, Real Estate and Land Use. Massimi was a summer associate with Day Pitney in 2017. He received his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School and his bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego.
Philip F. Pacelli, Intellectual Property. Pacelli received his master's in law in intellectual property (IP) law from Cardozo School of Law, his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Connecticut College.
Alyssa L. Paddock, Private Equity and Finance. Paddock was a summer associate with Day Pitney in 2017. She received her law degree from Brooklyn Law School and her bachelor's degree from Nyack College.
New Haven
Ignacio Riesco, ERISA, Executive Compensation and Tax. Riesco received his master's in law degree in Tax Law from New York University School of Law; his law degree from the University of California Davis School of Law; and his A.L.B., cum laude, from Harvard University.
Boston
Brandon McCool, Intellectual Property. McCool was an extern with Day Pitney during his spring 2018 semester and received his law degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and his bachelor's degree from McGill University.
Parsippany, New Jersey
Anthony M. Wildasin, Public Securities. Wildasin was a summer associate with Day Pitney in 2017. He received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Drexel University.
Jenna Montesano Joins Hinckley Allen In Hartford
Hinckley, Allen & Snyder has hired attorney Jenna M. Montesano as an associate in the firm's Hartford office, covering real estate, land use and business matters for corporate and real estate clients. Montesano represents clients in all aspects of the development approval process, including due diligence review, planning and zoning applications and other aspects of complex land use and zoning matters.
Montesano graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law with honors. While in law school, she co-authored adopted zoning regulations for the city of Hartford. In addition to her legal affiliations, she donates her time doing pro bono work as a dedicated member of the Lawyers for Children America.
Hinckley Allen also announced the hire of six other attorneys outside of Connecticut, including Lisa M. DeFronzo in Manchester, New Hampshire; Nicholas A. Denice and Amanda A. Garganese in Providence, Rhode Island; and Shasky L. Clarke, Richard A. Goulding III and Gina K. Kim in Boston.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

Amy O. Bruchs and Kurt F. Ellison of Michael Best & Friedrich have entered appearances for Epic Systems Corp. in a pending employment discrimination lawsuit. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
