With record voter registration and long lines reported at the polls, the national Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law is counting on nearly 100 large law firms to ensure that citizens succeed at making their voices heard at the ballot box.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ned Lamont was in a close fight with Republican Bob Stefanowski as Election Day commenced, with Indendent Oz Griebel running a distant third. Former Secretary of the State and attorney Susan Bysiewicz is running as the Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor against Republican state Sen. Joe Markley and Independent Newtown attorney and former Connecticut Bar Association President Monte Frank of Pullman & Comley.
