If you’ve been a regular reader of the Connecticut Law Tribune—or really any of our associated Law.com publications—you have seen an increase in the coverage of diversity issues at law firms across the country. But by most accounts, there is still work to be done, as more than 170 general counsel and corporate legal officers expressed in an open letter to big law firms last month, demanding greater diversity inclusion at the firms that represent them.

The letter’s signatories said they would prioritize their legal spend with firms that demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Representatives from Google, Fiber, Etsy, Heineken USA, Chobani Global Holdings, Waymo, Lyft, Vox Media, S&P Global Ratings and Booz Allen Hamilton were among those signing. The general counsel of ALM Media, the publisher of the Connecticut Law Tribune, also signed the letter.
