A recent survey published by the Connecticut Law Tribune and a handful of American Lawyer Media sister publications asked lawyers to convey how seriously they think their firms are taking diversity and inclusion these days, and whether or not the subject has become a priority.

Responses to three different questions yielded a mixed bag of results, with 61 percent of readers saying diversity is a priority at their firms and 39 percent saying it is not. With the amount of press the subject of diversity and inclusion has received in recent years, just over 60 percent may seem like a low number, but even more striking was the response to a question on how diversity figures into real-life application.
