Day Pitney Receives Pro Bono Award

Day Pitney has received the George J. and Patricia K. Ritter Pro Bono Award from the Connecticut Fair Housing Center.

The award, which recognizes the firm's service to the center and its clients, was presented May 30 at the center's 25th anniversary celebration held at The Tavern at Keney Park in Windso. Day Pitney attorney Andraya Pulaski Brunau, who serves on the center's board of directors, and Pro Bono Committee Chair Theresa Kelly were in attendance. Kelly accepted the award on behalf of the firm and participating attorneys Joseph Scully, Joseph Nawrocki, Elizabeth Retersdorf and Ignacio Riesco.

Day Pitney has worked with the Connecticut Fair Housing Center for the past 16 years. Cases have included obtaining handicap accessible housing for a client, providing tax advice to settle a housing discrimination claim and handling a fair debt collection matter. Day Pitney has been honored with prior recognitions in 2017, 2015, 2013 and 2009.

Heather Dominguez Rahilly Joins Wiggin and Dana as Partner

Wiggin and Dana has hired Heather Dominguez Rahilly as a partner in the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group in the firm's Stamford office.

Rahilly's practice focuses on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate finance and corporate and securities law. She represents clients in private acquisitions and divestitures, restructurings, spin-offs, joint ventures and other strategic alliances. She also has experience advising companies on securities law compliance, corporate governance issues, disclosure issues and shareholder agreements.

Rahilly received her J.D. in 2007 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
