A Superior Court judge has awarded a $900,000 prejudgment remedy to a 31-year-old Meriden man who suffered a mild traumatic brain injury in a multicar pileup in Cheshire in 2017.

The prejudgment remedy hearing was called because attorneys for plaintiff Jeremiah Vaichus believed the insurance for defendants Khikmat Abidov and his employer, Global Transportation LLC, was insufficient.
