Shipman & Goodwin Hires Real Estate Partner Robert Grady
Law firm Shipman & Goodwin has announced Robert E. Grady is joining the firm's real estate practice group as a partner in the Hartford office. Grady has two decades of experience in transactional real estate and finance law.
Before joining Shipman, Grady was a founding partner of the commercial and residential real estate firm Logan Grady in Rocky Hill. Before that he spent 11 years as an associate in the finance and real estate group at Dechert.
Grady will continue to represent clients in real estate, corporate and finance transactions, as well as disposition of real estate assets. “Shipman & Goodwin has a well-deserved national reputation for its transactional real estate and finance work,” he said, adding that the new job is “a tremendous opportunity to expand my practice and offer my clients the services available at an established firm with national scope.”
Grady earned his law degree cum laude from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
|Alderman & Alderman Welcomes Attorney Amy Cillie
Hartford law firm Alderman & Alderman has announced the addition of attorney Amy D. Cillie, who specializes in commercial and complex litigation.
A former case law editor for Lexis-Nexis, Cillie was an associate at Hartford-based Byrne & Storm, a family law, business and criminal defense firm. She has been a member of the Connecticut Bar Association since 2000 and received her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Alderman & Alderman was founded in 1992 by Linda and Myles Alderman. The firm has offices in Hartford and New York City.
|Michael Pfeifer Joins Day Pitney in DC
Connecticut and East Coast stalwart Day Pitney has named attorney Michael G. Pfeifer of counsel in the firm's individual clients department, staffed by approximately 70 attorneys in Washington, D.C. He comes from the D.C. office of Caplin & Drysdale, where he was a partner.
Pfeifer has also served as special assistant to associate chief counsel (international) of the Internal Revenue Service. He counsels clients on planning for pre-immigration and expatriation, as well as on structuring cross-border investments. His practice will continue to focus on international tax issues for wealthy individuals.
