Micah Vitale Joins Carlton Fields

Carlton Fields has announced attorney Micah Vitale is the newest member of the firm's labor and employment team in Hartford, representing employers in state and federal matters, administrative hearings, class actions, arbitrations and mediations.

Migrating from Hartford's Boyle Shaughnessy Law, Vitale has conducted investigations and depositions, managed trial exhibits, drafted and argued legal motions and negotiated settlement agreements.

Vitale earned her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law, interning with the state Attorney General's Office in the fraud division of the Antitrust and Government Program.

Goldberg Segalla Welcomes Jason Rusche

Goldberg Segalla has hired Jason Rusche as an associate in the firm's global insurance services and general liability practice groups in Hartford.

Formerly with XL Specialty Insurance Co. in Hartford, Rusche has defended general liability claims and matters involving specialty environmental policies, working with outside counsel and technical experts to limit and mitigate the insured's exposure. He has also managed multimillion-dollar coverage and litigation arising from mass torts.

Rusche earned his law degree at the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Nevas Elected Chairman of CBA Litigation Section

Verrill Dana attorney Andrew Nevas has started his term as chairman of the Connecticut Bar Association Litigation Section as of July 1.

Nevas takes charge of the section's programming and lobbying efforts. The Litigation Section is one of the CBA's largest sections. The CBA has 70 sections and committees and produces more than 400 programs each year.

Nevas has been practicing law in Connecticut for 30 years, focusing on matrimonial and probate litigation. He represents corporate and individual clients in a variety of matters in state and federal court and in arbitration proceedings.
