A Connecticut man who claims the five cars he left at a now-closed Norwalk auto body shop to be repaired and customized were either lost or stolen has settled his lawsuit for $115,000.
In his amended lawsuit filed July 8, Christopher Torkamani, a veteran of car trade shows, claimed he dropped off five vehicles at Richardson Auto Body LLC in 2011 for long-term customization, only to have them turn up missing when he returned for them about 13 months later.
Prerna Rao, Torkamani's attorney, said her client had previously left vehicles at the auto body shop for repairs, and so he had thought nothing about waiting more than a year for the work on all five vehicles to be completed.
