Halloran Sage Welcomes New Associates
Attorneys Anthony Loney and Nancy Valentino have joined Hartford firm Halloran Sage. Loney joins as an associate in the lender liability and foreclosure and litigation and dispute resolution practice groups. He represents institutional lenders in the mortgage default industry and handles a variety of business and commercial disputes, including contested commercial and residential foreclosures. He received his law degree from Rutgers Law School.
Valentino joins as an associate in the firm's litigation and dispute resolution, medical malpractice and personal injury practice groups. She defends all phases of medical malpractice and personal injury matters and has handled a variety of employment litigation, including wrongful discharge, employee discrimination and sexual harassment. She received her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Based in Hartford, Halloran Sage has offices in Danbury, Middletown, New Haven, New London and Westport, and a branch in Washington, D.C.
|LCD Bidding Farewell to Executive Director Hebsgaard
For those who haven't heard, the Connecticut group Lawyer's Collaborative for Diversity is bidding farewell to it first and only executive director, Carolyn Golden Hebsgaard, after 16 years
on the job. The organization will host a farewell party Dec. 17 at the University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford.
Established in 2003, LCD began under the guidance of the Boston Lawyers Group, also headed up by Hebsgaard, who agreed to lend her talents to the organization and "put LCD on the Connecticut legal map." Dedicated to promoting career advancement for lawyers of color, the organization gained assistance from veteran lawyers, including Stan Twardy, Mike Considine and Greg Butler, along with firms Day Pitney, Wiggin and Dana, Murtha Cullina, Jackson Lewis, Robinson & Cole and others. LCD developed a Mentor Program, annual Judges of Color recognition and Building Careers Symposium under Hebsgaard's leadership.
The farewell celebration will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at UConn Law's William F. Starr Hall, 45 Elizabeth St., Hartford. Click here for registration information.
