The Connecticut legal community lost several bright and influential legal minds in 2019. Here's a look back at attorneys and jurists who died this year. They included Judge Raymond Norko, the guiding force behind the Hartford Community Court; former liberal Connecticut Supreme Court Justice Robert Berdon, one of the court's most prolific dissenters; U.S. District Judge Warren Eginton of the District of Connecticut, who served for four decades on the bench; Francis Dineen, the founder of the New Haven Legal Aid Association; Ellen Bree Burns, the state's first female federal judge; and civil rights crusader Michael Koskoff of Bridgeport-based Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder.
