Tobin Carberry Names New Managing Partner

Tobin, Carberry, O'Malley, Riley & Selinger of New London has named Kristin Wainright of East Lyme the firm's managing partner.

A Norwich native, Wainright joined the firm in 2010 and became a partner four years later, focusing her practice primarily in corporate and business law, public finance, banking and real estate transactions.

Wainright succeeds Glenn Carberry, who managed the firm's business for more than 30 years. "It's time for a new generation of leadership to take over and run the business," Carberry said, noting the firm has grown to nearly 50 employees. "We are fortunate to have someone with Kristin's extensive background in corporate and business matters to step into that executive role."

Wainright said her job "is changing every day and I hope to bring a new perspective on people and technology that will ensure our continued success and serve the needs of our business and individual clients." Named a Connecticut Law Tribune New Leader in the Law in 2015, she was also a Chamber of Commerce "40 Under 40″ winner in 2013.

Wainright is a graduate of the Norwich Free Academy, Georgetown University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Before joining Tobin Carberry, she was an associate at Dechert.
