Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. welcomes attorney Derek Mello. Attorney Mello is a civil litigation attorney and joins the firm with over fifteen years of legal experience. His practice focuses on motor vehicle, premises liability, construction and general liability defense matters. Firm leader said they are pleased to have Derek join as the latest addition to the general liability and construction law and design professionals liability practice groups and that they look forward to working with him.
Mello is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and Fairfield University. He served as a legal research clerk with the Connecticut Superior Court, assisting trial judges with research and decisions. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Virginia and the District of Columbia as well as the Federal District Court for the District of Connecticut.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.
