In recent months, Hartford firm Conway Stoughton has welcomed three lateral principals to join its litigation department: Jay Huntington, Julie Harris and Yelena Akim.
Jay Huntington joins Conway Stoughton after spending the last 10 years as a partner at Regnier, Taylor Curran & Eddy. He earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and his bachelor's degree from Northeastern University.
Julie Harris and Yelena Akim both came to Conway Stoughton from Hassett & George, and both are active trial attorneys who are focused on defending civil suits on behalf of individuals, businesses and insurers. Harris earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her bachelor's degree from the University of Hartford. Akim graduated from Suffolk University School of Law and obtained her undergraduate degree from Tufts University.
In addition to adding lateral principals Conway Stoughton has hired four new associates—Amanda Buckingham, Raymond Gauvreau, Peter Sebellico and Scott Kelleher—to join its litigation team.
Prior to earning her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, Buckingham worked as an employment practices liability adjuster. Both Gauvreau and Sabellico served as legal research clerks for the judges of the Connecticut Superior Court before joining the firm. Gauvreau earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law where he was the 2016 Hastie Moot Court Champion. Sabellico is a graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law. Kelleher is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law and Lafayette College, where he played varsity baseball.
Conway Stoughton was founded in 2003 by Matt Conway and Paul Stoughton and now has 18 attorneys, all in Hartford.
