Remembered as a compassionate attorney, a zealous advocate for tenants and a competitor inside and outside the courtrooms, David Pels died July 5 following a long illness. He was 71 years old.

Pels spend his entire 45-year career as an attorney representing low-income tenants, including 22 years with the Greater Hartford Legal Aid. He retired from GHLA in July 2019.
