Following repeated postponements brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Connecticut Law Tribune's 2020 Connecticut Legal Awards celebration has been reconfigured to an online-only production that will celebrate this year's winning attorneys and firms on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 5 p.m.
Registrations for the event are already underway. Register here.
With the health and safety of honorees and colleagues our first priority, the Tribune has organized an alternative format to a cocktail party and dinner gala—a virtual gathering honoring the Connecticut legal community's top talent, ranging from New Leaders in the Law to Best Mentors and Lifetime Achievement awards. The unprecedented undertaking will spotlight 68 total winners, culminating with the honoree everyone has been waiting for, the 2020 Attorney of the Year.
As we announced back in February, the three finalists for Attorney of the Year are Franca DeRosa, partner in the Hartford office of Brown Rudnick; Leslie King, partner in the Hartford office of Carlton Fields; and Brenden Leydon, products liability practice leader at Wocl Leydon in Stamford.
Fans and recipients of the Connecticut Legal Awards can expect to see a broadcast covering all winners produced by the Connecticut Law Tribune/ALM in segments covering each of this year's 14 categories: Attorney of the Year, Best Mentors, Best Officiators, Distinguished Leaders, Game Changers, GC Impact, Giant Slayers, Law Firm Innovators, Lifetime Achievement, In-House Legal Department, Litigation Departments (General and Specialty), New Leaders in the Law and Unsung Hero.
Sponsorships are still available. Registration information, frequently asked questions and an image gallery from the 2019 awards are all accessible on our new awards home page. Sign up now and we'll see you on screen.
