Eversource Energy Service Co., the state’s largest electric company, is facing a $1.5 billion class action lawsuit filed on behalf of two homeowners and one businessman who had their lives disrupted from Tropical Storm Isaias, which struck the state hard on Aug. 4.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Hartford Superior Court three days after the storm, cites four counts: negligence, breach of contract, recklessness and a violation of the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act.
