Cyclist Daniel Hopkins wasn’t wearing a helmet when he fell over the handlebars, and the defense said there was nothing wrong with the rented bicycle—which left his attorney, Jamie Sullivan, with a tough personal injury case.
Sullivan, a partner with Howard, Kohn, Sprague & FitzGerald in Hartford, said while some attorneys might have seen a losing case with no chance of recovering anything, he saw things differently.
