Twenty eight states—including Connecticut, Texas, Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania—have reached a $5 million settlement agreement with acute care hospital operator CHS/Community Health Systems Inc. over a 2014 data breach that impacted about 6.1 million patients nationwide.

In Connecticut, 4,746 residents were impacted, and the state will receive $37,760. New Jersey had about 45,000 residents impacted, and will receive a payout of $58,202. Florida officials said the breach impacted more than 430,000 Floridians, and the state is slated to get $387,395. Pennsylvania will receive $307,877.
