Plaintiffs attorney Cara Cavallari conceded that many lawyers might have balked at representing client Cody Pedemonti.

After all, a police report said that at the time of the April 12 accident on the Berlin Turnpike, Pedemonti was speeding on his motorcycle, traveling 70 miles per hour in a 50-mph zone. Not only that, but Pedemonti had clipped the motorcycle in front of him. And responding officers also gave the 28-year-old infractions for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, failure to obey a sign, and driving without a motorcycle license.
