A former student of The Rumsey Hall School Inc. alleged in a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday afternoon that the former dean of students at the private boarding school sexually assaulted him more than 100 times during a two-year period decades ago.

Tim Davis’ lawsuit against Robert McGrew isn’t the first time McGrew has been accused of sexually assaulting boys at the school in the 1980s and 1990s. In fact, in a May 2019 letter to the Rumsey community, the school said it made confidential settlement payments in 2001 and 2016 to three boys McGrew allegedly assaulted.
