Insurance litigator Rhonda Tobin was elected Robinson & Cole’s next managing partner earlier this month. Effective March 1, Tobin will be the first woman to lead the Am Law 200 firm in its more than 175-year history.

She takes over for Stephen E. Goldman, who has served as managing partner for the last five years, overseeing the creation of a chief talent officer position in 2020, doubling of the size of the firm’s New York presence and leading its entrance into the Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware, markets. Goldman is now returning to his bankruptcy and insurance litigation practice at the firm.
