It was defendant Nancy Dolph’s apologetic manner in her deposition with Connecticut plaintiffs counsel Ryan Miller that helped clinch the deal for $130,000 in a motorist versus pedestrian accident in a Stratford Stop & Shop parking lot in July 2019.

Miller said he believes the defense knew that Dolph’s deposition, if a jury were to hear it, could hurt the defense’s chance of prevailing at trial and might have even meant a larger award for plaintiff Lynn Novak.
