A Connecticut federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit that an Arizona-based conservative nonprofit filed against the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference and several education boards over transgender athletes taking part in girls’ sports in the state.

Judge Robert Chatigny didn’t dismiss the lawsuit based on the merits, rather the judge said the case was moot because the two transgender girls at the center of the controversy had already graduated high school.
