For the first time in more than four decades, a statewide election will decide the vice presidency of the roughly 8,000-member Connecticut Bar Association.

While the association’s nominating committee chose Senior Assistant Public Defender Margaret Castinado to move up in the ranks from treasurer to vice president, Meriden solo practitioner William Dezinno was able to force an election by getting the signatures of the required 25 CBA member attorneys.
