In the backdrop of hate crimes spiking in the state and throughout the country, Gov. Ned Lamont announced the formation of a 25-person Connecticut Hate Crimes Advisory Council that will feature an attorney and judge as co-chairs.

Co-chairing the advisory council is Judge Trial Referee Douglas Lavine and Connecticut Bar Association President Amy Lin Meyerson.
