Saying it would be “simply unconscionable” for Optimum by Altice to raise its prices while dramatically decreasing internet upload speeds from 35 megabits to as little as five megabits, Attorney General William Tong has asked the New York-based company to answer a series of questions on or before July 19 or a lawsuit could be filed.

“All options are on the table,” Tong said when asked what his office would do if the company goes ahead with its plan. “This is not from William Tong, this is from the state of Connecticut. If they ignore the state of Connecticut, they do so at their peril.”
