A Connecticut plaintiffs counsel said he was able to work with an insurance adjuster to collect the entire $100,000 policy in an accident in which a motorist struck a teenager riding a bicycle, because liability was a factor as the driver of the car was drunk.

Plaintiffs counsel Andrew Bottinick called the matter “a perfect case” in which to ask for—and get—the full policy limit without even filing a lawsuit.
