One day after the office of Attorney General William Tong announced Connecticut’s Medicaid program would receive $1.3 million of a $75 million multistate settlement with Bristol-Myers Squibb related to Medicaid overcharges, state officials reacted to the news and had harsh words for the pharmaceutical manufacturer.

In a statement, Tong said the settlement, which some governments announced in April, but states such as Connecticut and California announced Tuesday, should be a deterrent to other companies.
