Known as a mentor to many and as an attorney always willing to give his time to clients and peers, Jeffrey Tinley Sr. is being mourned by Connecticut’s legal community following his sudden death Sept. 3.

Tinley, a Southbury resident, died of a heart attack. He was 66 and was a partner at Tinley, Renehan & Dost in Waterbury where he handled commercial litigation and complex civil matters. He was also Southbury’s town attorney for the past dozen years.
