Judge Sarah A.L. Merriam was confirmed Wednesday as a judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
Following President Joe Biden's June announcement that he had selected three Connecticut judges to advance to the federal bench, Merriam became the first to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate Wednesday afternoon.
