A federal magistrate judge was split on several rulings relating to a series of discovery requests by a former Wesleyan University student seeking further information about communications relating to cheating allegations against her, past instances of cheating, and computer program time logs.

Under the student’s fictitious name, Jane Doe, a lawsuit was filed in September 2019, claiming Wesleyan treated her differently during the disciplinary process after she was expelled over cheating allegations.
