Connecticut Attorney General William Tong says his office’s top priority this year is to contend with the ongoing pandemic, while advancing other consumer-protection cases involving opioids and social media.

“We’ve been in lockstep with, and at the right hand of, the governor through this whole pandemic, advising him on what his legal obligations are, what his legal authority is,” Tong said Monday. “I think it’s really important to note that we’ve won every single case. We haven’t lost a single case on the governor’s authority to keep people safe during a public safety emergency.”
